Printing the settings of a layout can be useful as a reference in creating other layouts or you can give it to another reporter using another CAT software so they can create a layout to match yours.

  1. From anywhere in Case CATalyst, click Function, Layout (Alt-u, L).

  2. The Open Existing Document dialog box displays. Select a layout and click Open.

  3. Once the layout opens, click Format, Print Layout Settings (Alt-o, y). The Print dialog box displays.

  4. The Print dialog box displays. Select the printer and any other options. Then click Print to print the report.

If you selected the Stenograph PDF Printer, the Print to File dialog box displays. Select the location to which you want to save the PDF then click Save. CATalyst will suggest the name of the layout as the default name of the PDF, but you can change the name.
